Genevieve J. Berardinelli, 100, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at Garvey Manor in Hollidaysburg. She was born in Export, daughter of the late George and Mary (Milan) Hanacik. On April 24, 1946, she married Guido Berardinelli at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Export, PA and he preceded her in death on March 10, 2012.

She is survived by a grandson, Frank A. Filkosky; a granddaughter, Sabrina L. (Joshua) Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her daughter and son in law, Linda and Frank Filkosky; a great-grandson, Everett Henderson; and 8 siblings: Mary, Louise, Frank, Louis, Andy, George, Helen and Millie.

Genevieve was a 1943 graduate of Export High School and worked for the Altoona School District as a clerk before retiring in 1985.

She enjoyed volunteering at Garvey Manor.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Altoona.

Friends will be received from 8:30a.m. to 9:45a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Santella Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
